Started writing the original story "Lone Oak"

A Great Story

It included

Lots of action

And received

5 star reviews

Lone Oak first published!

Yes, it really did take that long to write, edit and publish "Lone Oak". A feature length film was not a consideration at this time. What we were interested in was selling books, and we did just that. From local book signings to Barnes & Noble, Amazon and other online stores we sold signed copies as well as e-books for everyone to enjoy.

Published Our Second Novel

The second book in the James Harding series, "Vengeance Is Mine" came out in 2017 and has received several 5-star reviews of its own. It fills in some of the back story for "Lone Oak" and will itself be turned into a screenplay and feature length film someday.

Took Our First Step Toward Making a Movie.

Knowing that writing a screenplay and writing a novel are two completely different sciences, I hired Award Winning script writer Claire Hutchinson to convert "Lone Oak" into a screenplay. After a few months of emailing back and forth, the screenplay was "complete". There will be changes right up until the final wrap, but we were ready to move forward!

A Busy Year!

We set out to find a producer who shared our vision and in August, my beautiful bride and I were married. After numerous inquiries a veteran of western film, Mark Headley, responded that he was interested in making the movie. Since then, we have made a sizzle reel and have talked to several potential investors and sponsors.

Sizzle Reel and Pitches!

In February 2022, for Valentine's week, we flew to Arizona and filmed the sizzle reel near Tucson. Later, we held some fund-raising events and began seeking investors and sponsors in earnest. Small business owners had, and still have, the opportunity to have their business name flashed across the screen wherever "Lone Oak" is played.
